Perhaps one of Europe’s last remaining hidden gems, Slovenia is certainly home to one of the continent’s real beauty spots in the form of Lake Bled. Despite being a tourist highlight, many people head to neighbouring Croatia, Austria, Italy or Hungary instead leaving you with a good chunk of the lake to yourself. Ljubljana is also a nice capital with pleasant vibes and architecture.
